Facial a relaxing facial is a skincare treatment designed to provide relaxation and rejuvenation to the skin and the mind. During a relaxing facial, I will follow a series of steps, which will include:
-
Cleansing: The treatment begins with a double gentle cleansing of the face to remove dirt, makeup, and impurities.
-
Exfoliation: Exfoliating products & techniques are used to remove dead skin cells, promoting a smoother and brighter complexion.
-
Steam: Hot towels are applied to open up pores, making it easier to extract blackheads and whiteheads if necessary.
-
Extraction (optional): If needed, I may perform extractions to remove clogged pores and blemishes.
-
Massage: A key component of a relaxing facial, a facial massage is performed to promote blood circulation, relax facial muscles, and reduce stress.
-
Mask: A customized mask is applied to address specific skincare concerns, such as hydration, acne, or anti-aging. I perform and extra massage to the neck & shoulders whilst the mask is working then a pressure point one once the mask has been removed.
-
Moisturizing: A serum & a moisturiser are applied to hydrate and nourish the skin.
-
Eye Cream : Applied to the eye orbit to finish.
Throughout the process, calming music is played, soothing aromatherapy scents fill the air & a comfortable environment is provided to enhance the relaxation experience. My relaxing facials aim not only to improve the appearance of the skin but also to provide a sense of tranquility and well-being for the individual receiving the treatment. They are an excellent way to pamper oneself and de-stress while addressing skincare concerns.
Massage is a therapeutic technique that involves the manipulation of soft tissues in the body, such as muscles, tendons, and ligaments. The primary goal of a massage is to promote relaxation, alleviate tension, and enhance overall well-being. It typically involves various hand and body movements, including kneading & stroking, applied to different areas of the body. I am a trained massage therapist & can target specific issues like muscle tension, stress, pain, or simply provide a soothing and rejuvenating experience tailored to an individual's needs.
Dermaplaning is a simple and safe clinical procedure that exfoliates the epidermis (top layer of the skin) while also removing the fine vellus hairs (peach fuzz/light hairs). The procedure is performed by gently gliding a stainless steel blade across the surface of the skin to remove dead skin cells and vellus hairs on the face. It can help with uneven skin tone, acne scaring and minimise fine lines. After the entre face is treated, I finish off the treatment with a mask to calm the skin and then moisturise to finish.
Indian Head Massage is a therapeutic and relaxing massage technique that primarily focuses on the head, neck, and shoulders. It has its roots in traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine and has become popular worldwide for its stress-relieving and rejuvenating benefits.
Areas included are the back, arms, shoulders & neck as well as the scalp.
Reflexology is a holistic therapy that involves the application of pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, or ears, known as reflex points, to promote relaxation, relieve tension, and stimulate the body's natural healing processes. This practice is based on the belief that these reflex points correspond to various organs and systems within the body. It is often sought for its potential benefits, which may include stress reduction, pain relief, improved circulation, enhanced relaxation, and overall well-being.
